group pic!
second day back from bangkok. i'm starting to miss the place already. i wanna go back there and compete all over again. :(((
day one:
got there at around 230. by the time we got to the hotel and both busloads of people arrived, it was almost 5 and since we take 45 mins to get to the pool, we couldn't train. which was quite nice. whahaha. dinner was notbad. lights out at 10.30 bk time, 11.30 sg time.
day two:
got up at abt 8. went down for breakfast. we discovered that the meals at the hotel were rather fantastic. went to thammasat university to train. the water was super cold. even colder than the ss one, but after swimming in it for a while you sort of get used to it. trained for close to an hour and a half, before heading to mbk to go buy (junk) food to tide us over the long week ahead. went back to the hotel and slacked around the rest of the day. XD
day three:
first day of the competition. and i had events! =( 50 back. seeded third, came in second for heats. 31.88. thrilling. first day was the most screwed up day la. the heats finished so late that by the time we got back to the hotel we only had time to eat, go up to our rooms for 15 mins, then we had to go back down and leave for the pool. =x i was really scared at the reporting area cos i felt kinda stiff and tired, though i was gonna do 32+ again, but i figured, wth, just go there and chiong. so i did. and i beat the hk girl. whahaha. second pb. 31.65. and a gold medal! woot. not expected at all.
day four and five:no events on these days so i brought work to the pool to do. darn those eoys.
day six:100 back! seeded 9th so i knew i had no hope of getting into the finals. did 1.10.91 anyway. crap time. almost one second slower than my pb. bleah. the bright side was that i didn't have to go through the torture of swimming 100 back again i suppose. after the comp the guys started dunking everyone into the pool. i escaped. XD
lol went back to hotel and ate dinner at abt 11.30 sg time. lol. then was stayed up until like 5bk time. andre bought this hideous mask, so the guys were taking turns to wear it and walk around scaring ppl. it was HILARIOUS. they scared zhou jiao lian so much that she ran into the bathroom and locked the door! :p after that me, christel, roanne and sheree walked around trying to find ppl to play with but we realised that we were unwanted, so we went to camp in joel (tan weijie)'s room and watch mindhunters until abt 5am bk time.
didn't wanna disturb AHEM in my room so we slept in joel's room. joshua slept on ben's towel on the floor cos we hijacked their beds. and joel slept at the foot of me and christel's bed. he moved so much, and he snored. lol. twas quite funny. slept for abt 2 hours. haha.
went shopping at mbk after that. didn't buy many things, but i did get a roxy blouse for 4 bucks and a shirt for jon. earrings as well. $1+ only! woots. and bought dunkin' donuts back. whee.
yep. so thats aag in a nutshell. it was super fun. more fun than sea age. =)) yay. but i'm gonna miss the place. hope i get to go again. i doubt it though. too many propro ppl next year. sigh. nvm.
