ok, so i'm backdated. asean cup ended 2 days ago and here i am blogging only now, though i'm supposed to be doing my maths pt. oh well, just call me the perpetual procrastinator who does things at the last minutes and can't get them right no matter how hard i try. ah well. whatever ><
yup. so.. asean. asean was. quite fun, but kind of boring at the same time. did pretty ok, only one pb [100freerelay] but was quite close to my pbs, so i'm pretty hapy with the results.
50 back - 31.76
100 back - 1.10.56
50 fly - 30.45 - lost to dandan by 0.01! ><
100 fly - 1.07.34
50 free - 29.98
100 free - 1.05.01
100 free [relay] - 1.02.90
finally a 1.02 for 100 free la. but i guess i didn't have the motivation to go hard for the individual event as compared to the team event where there was pressure and motivation. it just goes to show that motivation plays a huge part in determining whether a person does well or not huh. that's probably why i don't do well during comps. i.have.no.motivation.!
ah well, overall it was notbad lar, cos this time more ppl could swim as opposed to previous years where not many ppl went so there wasn't much club spirit or anything. the relays were exciting, what with all the mad cheering and screaming and jumping up and down. haha..
the gala was. well. forgettable. it ended at 8.30 for goodness sakes. and its not as if those 2 and a half hours were very enjoyable. the food was not really good, there wasn't enough time allocated for the dinner, not many foreign clubs went, everyone was so stoned.. various factors. and the worst part of the night was when we went up on stage to perform our hamster dance. sounds cute and fun right? but some people just had to come up on stage and gay around. like, whatever la. if you want to gay around normally, fine, maybe its kind of amusing, but when you just anyhow gay around when people are performing, i just think its not very nice. and that's putting it lightly. i should have just pushed them right off the stage, since they were next to me. rarrs. ruined the whole night.
and they lied about having asked us somemore. huh. there's a limit to having fun, anywhere and everywhere you go.
hmm and after the gala everything fell even flatter. cos usually if we're overseas, then after the gala ends, we'll all go back to the hotel and play and have a crazy night of fun. but this time, all we did was go home and stone or do hw. >< rarrs, somehow i don't think next year's asean will be that fun..
there's more i would like to say about stuff that's been happening, about the (irritating) small kids, about the state of our squad etc, but i shall refrain. for now anyway.
sorry this post's so miserable, but i am miserable. ): don't ask why. only my diary knows. oh, and hiew.
cos i don't think you'd give me another look anway.
